Nov 29, 2022 – CareHawk Life Safety Communications has joined the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS) as part of their ongoing commitment to produce industry leading products while continuously meeting the rapidly increasing needs of improved safety and security for schools in the United States.
Founded in 2014, the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools is focused on bringing together experts from education, public safety, and industry for the purpose of making significant improvements in life-safety and security for every size school; elementary, middle or high schools. Their organization has created the most complete safety standards and security guidelines for these schools to establish safer environments for learning.
“The reason we joined PASS is to better understand the safety communication needs of our K-12 educational institutions and to further develop hardware and software solutions that support their protocols and initiatives” – Dan Phillips, President of CareHawk. PASS and CareHawk share the vision of safer schools through the development of guidelines supported by key technologies like the new CH2000IP school intercom and paging platform.
The PASS Guidelines identify and classify best practices for securing K-12 facilities in response to urgent needs for information identified by the education community.
The joint effort will create better prepared schools that are fully equipped to respond effectively during an emergency.
